new hobby

christmas present
Finally, I can post these leg warmers I made for my sister. I think they kind of look like Big Bird's legs, at least the one with more yellow does.
These were super easy to do. I love the little button flowers on them! Hopefully having this project out of the way will force me to finish that scarf (see below).

scarfing it down
I am loving this scarf pattern, the only problem, the constant counting. Knit one, two, three, purl one, two, three. Over and over. Maybe I'm finally learning the meaning of patience.
The scarf does look great though, and it's not all that difficult to do. I was looking for a pattern that would be a bit of a challenge and look nice at the same time. www.lionbrand.com, you’ve saved me again.

you're never too old for rainbows
Okay, so this is the best hat ever! Also, the first I've ever made. I just knit a band in stockinette stitch with a knitted trim. Then I tightened the stitches around the top, then I sewed the back. Add a pompom on the top and presto! You're very own stylish and simple winter toque. I used the same yarn as one of the monsters on the couch I made a while back.
Also, I love the sweater I'm wearing! What would I do without you Winners?

latest work
These are the latest things I've worked on. The bag is made out of strips I cut then knit together from a sheet I purchased at Value Village. The blanket was actually just a project to get rid of some extra yarn I had. I even tried some stuffed animals. Next time I'm going to try and make a rabbit. Not bad considering the biggest thing I made before getting serious about knitting was a scarf.
